The TBR Book Tag!!

While I was perusing the Book Blog world this morning, I stumbled upon one of my favorite book blogs, Fictionophile, who posted a fun TBR tag. I love her work and if you are looking to add more book blogs to your list, then be sure to check her out! Since I am in the process of finishing up some other reviews and posts, but I still wanted to post something today, a book tag it is! Let’s begin:

How do you keep track of your TBR pile?

I am quite terrible at keeping up with my TBR list/pile. From book review received from Netgalley, e-books, physical books and books that I pick up myself, it is kind of a hot mess. I usually make a list and I have a planner that I keep up to date, but I really need to create a Excel Spreadsheet since I have more books than I can count. It’s a problem, a delightful problem having too many books, but still a problem.

Is your TBR mostly print or ebook?

It depends. Sometimes I get a lot of requests for ebooks, but lately I have more physical books than ever. Looks lovely on my book shelf, not so lovely while traveling or how unorganized it is on my desk. YIKES!

A book that has been on your TBR pile the longest?

Me Before You by Jo J0 Moyes. I bought it because I wanted to read it before the movie came out but other things get in the way and it has been sitting there for some time. Sorry JoJo. I will read it soon!! Maybe it will be the book I take with me on vacation in a few weeks! But I am determined to read it before the movie comes out in June.

A book you recently added to your TBR pile

Rich and Pretty by Rumaan Alam. I was sent this the other day, and I am so excited to read it! Everyone has been buzzing about it on Bookriot and IG so super stoked to be diving into this one! Who doesn’t love a book about rich people problems?? It’s coming out in June. I also added Scarlet from the Lunar Chronicles series; so much yes! I just finished Cinder and I am late to the Lunar Chronicles party but I am loving the series so far!

Jane Steele by Lyndsay Faye. I love, love, love this cover. It’s simple but I love the design of it. So pretty and will be adding to my bookshelf soon.

A book on your TBR that you never plan on reading

I will eventually get around to reading all my books on my Desk/e-reader/Amazon wish list/GoodReads list. It may take me longer than expected but it will eventually happen. Of course I will read a book and I will either buy 2 more or be sent 2 more from various Publishing companies. It’s a never ending cycle.

An unpublished book on your TBR that you are excited about

Court of Mist & Fury by Sarah J Maas. I loved the Court of Roses and Thrones, and I am unbelievably excited for the next book!! I only have to wait another month! Dang it May 3rd, get here already!

The Queen of the Night by Alexander Chee. Most bookish people I talk or follow on social media or listen to podcasts has read or is reading this book. I am unfortunately not one of them and it makes me really sad. I am sure I will pick it up soonish…

Most people do not recommend books to me since I am usually the one they come to when they need book advice, hahaha! But I think the one book most people talk about because it has changed their life would be The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up. I may get around to reading this, I may not, we shall see.

A book on your TBR that you are dying to read

All of them? The one I am most excited to read is Smoke by Dan Vyleta. It’s historical fiction which is in my wheel house on all levels. It takes place in Victorian England is due to come out in May. Will be diving into this book soon.

A book that you have crossed off your TBR list recently that you really loved

Kiss of Deception and Cinder. I went to on a crazy YA/Fantasy side adventure this past week since I have been reading a lot of Contemporary Fiction lately, so it was lovely going back to a genre I loved and proceed to blow through two books in a week. Loved both! It was a nice break from what I was reading for reviews.
