How to F*ck a Woman by Ali Alder: A Review

how to cover    So, I am just going to cut to the chase about this book. Usually I would have an opening remark or two that would lead into my review of a book I have received, but follow reader, I am not going to waste your time. I was given this book kindly by Weinstein Books, and I was a little deceived by the title of this novel. I thought it was going to be a funny stories about women and sex; you know things like that, but this is not the case. This book is written for and directed towards men, which I found out early on in the book. It is a self-help book to help men and their sex lives, and I felt very awkward as it dawned on me that I had such a book in my possession. So I proceeded to skim… this is a first for me! I do not normally skim books, I read them or I don’t, simple as that. But with How to F*ck a Woman I was skimming, hoping that there would be something that I could read or learn from this book.  Luckily, there was… in the WAY back. There was one small section directed towards women about her views about sex and femininity. In that one chapter, she summed up the whole book which seems a little counter intuitive. Why write a whole book on something that could be stated in 20 pages? Yep… my thoughts exactly. Plus it was nothing new of things I have already heard and read in my life about sex.

In conclusion, if you are a man and you are looking to improving the physical nature of your personal life then maybe this is the book for you? As I am not a man, I cannot say if this book benefited me since it is not directed towards me. However, I would think this book could be helpful for those who do need a little advice in the bedroom department. I also didn’t find it that funny, since the back cover stated that this book was hilarious, and it didn’t get much of a giggle out of me; what a shame. But alas this book could be perfect for someone else, it just isn’t my cup of tea.

Happy Reading!
