What I Read Wednesday – December 2, 2015

“Tis the Season to be jolly, fa la la la la la la la la la la”

The Holiday season is here!! December is by far one of my favorite months of the year! I love the music, the movies, the decor, and the atmosphere this month brings! I am currently wearing another pair of Christmas socks, and drinking coffee as I write about what books I have been reading this past week. If you read my post yesterday, you will know that I have been a bit of a book rut lately with not finishing books and not liking books, so hoping to take a break and be out of the rut soon! I know I am trying to cut back on the amount of sent reviews I do per month since it can be a little overwhelming, so there will be fun reading soon around the corner! But enough ranting, let’s talk about what I am up to this week:

Just Finished

Nothing. I am dead serious. I haven’t finished a book in about a week or so, which is the cause of yesterday’s review. Here is the link if you feel like checking it out:

Currently Reading

The Fragrant Concubine by Melissa Addey ( Historical Fiction) This book is fantastic! I am addicted and I know I am not suppose to post a review but for a few weeks but I will finish this book by Friday and a review will be up soon after. It’s historical fiction done right and its incredible!

After Dad: A Novel by Ralph Cohen ( Contemporary Fiction)  This is the retelling of a man who has passed away from the view of his widow and children. Only a few pages into this book but it is good so far. Pleasantly surprised!

TBR (To Be Read)

Madder Carmine by Tyler Enfield (Historical Romance) It has history, it has romance and it takes place in the Civil War Ear.. could I ask for a more perfect novel? Excited to dive into this one soon!

The Song of Hartgove Hall by Natasha Solomons (Contemporary Fiction) Love? Betrayl? Vengence? I’ll take it! Please and thank you!

Vengeance Road by Erin Bowman ( YA, Western)  I got this in my Uppercase box a few months ago and decided it would be time to dive into the Western genre! YEEHAW!!

Ok that is it for this week! I hope that you are all enjoying the holiday season and you avoid the crowds when it comes to that Christmas shopping. I did all mine online this year since I refuse to go anywhere near a mall! Thank you Amazon!

Let me know what you are reading or if you have read any of the books above! Would love your thoughts!

Happy Holidays & Happy Reading!
