Welcome back!!
It is Wednesday again, and I am ashamed to say that I do not have much to talk about book wise this week. I have only finished one book due to that fact that work is crazy and that I am going on vacation in 6 days! Woohoo! I am so excited to finally get away for a few weeks! Don’t worry, I am taking you all along with me for the ride and will be blogging about what I am reading while on vacation and I will be doing a post about what books I am bringing with me as well! So not much of an update from last week but here we go:
Just Finished:
The Gap of Time by Jeanette Winterson (Fiction) A modern take on a classic Shakespeare play ” A Winter’s Tale”. I actually thought this book was rather odd, and not in a fun, quirky kind of odd, but just weird. I’ve read A Winter’s Tale before so I may be a little fuzzy on the details of the story. I know Jeanette was attempting to modernize it but some of the things she wrote about were a bit outlandish to say the least. I think I need to dig out my old college copy of A Winter’s Tale and compare the two stories.
Currently Reading:
Legacy of Kings by Eleanor Herman (Fiction, Fantasy, YA) Yep…still working on this bad boy, it just goes on and on and on!
William Shakespeare’s Star Wars by Ian Doescher (Fiction, Fantasy, Science Fiction) I put this one down as I was finishing The Gap of Time, there was a whole lot of Shakespeare in my world and it was a bit overwhelming. I am in the process of picking it back up again soon!
Paddle Your Own Canoe by Nick Offferman (Nonfiction, Memoir, Humor) I bought this book AGES ago and started to read it, but then got distracted from another book, which I forgot about this fantastic, and funny memoir. I love Parks and Rec, which drew me to buying his book. I hope to finish it before my trip! I am loving it so far!
Behind Shattered Glass by Tasha Alexander (Fiction, Historical) Another Lady Emily mystery novel. I know I am obsessed, can you blame me? They are so good!!
TBR:
Will post a link about what books I am brining on my trip, so you can see what I will be reading the next few weeks while in Europe!
Here you go, short, sweet and straight to the point. No fluff just the straight stuff. Be sure to comment below as to what you are currently reading and what you are loving book wise! Have a great rest of the week everyone!
Happy Reading!
