Hello everyone! It has been awhile since I have last made a post on this blog! A lot of things were going on and I just needed a break from the blog and from books. Do not get me wrong, I love reading and writing on this blog but for some reason I wasn’t feeling it this week. No book seemed exciting or appealing to me, I would read the first 5 pages and then toss the book aside. I wouldn’t have done something like that if it was a normal week but for some reason I didn’t want to read any novels. There was also the minor problem on WordPress about viruses, uploading problems and such. I tried to post something on Monday but it failed and I took a break. Now I feel relaxed, refreshed and ready to talk more about books!
I also have been thinking… how do you guys feel that I write 5 days a week? Do you feel it is too much, would it be better if I cut them down; maybe do 3 days a week? I am thinking Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to do posts and so you know which days will be new posts about exciting things in Literature. Let me know what you think… unless you like reading something every day then I will continue doing what I am doing. So here is just a list of books I have bought or got in a swap recently, some of these I attempted to read this week and was not feeling it. I will give them another try:
– Carry on Jeeves by P. G. Wodehouse
– The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Barrows( Swapped)
– Georgette Heyer’s Regency World by Jennifer Kloester
– A Many Splendoured Thing by Han Suyin(book club book)
– Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson & David Oliver Relin(Swapped)
– The Snowman by Jo Nesbo(Swapped)
– The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters( book club book, Swapped)
– Mr. Darcy’s Diary by Amanda Grange
– The Duke and I by Julia Quinn(Swapped)
So those are just some books I have gotten from swapping or from buying them, usually from eBay since I can’t be bothered down to buy books at full price. Also, second-hand book stores are my recent find that I love! The only time I would go to a large book store would be to get a book that just came out that wouldn’t have it anywhere else. But I figure if I wait a little while I can get it on eBay or the swap website. I hope everyone had a pleasant week and a very good weekend!
(I put a picture of a woman baking at the top since that is mainly what I have been doing all week.. baking and not reading or blogging lol)
Hi Kaitlin…..please don’t let us tell you how much you should write on your blog…..BE YOURSELF and DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO !!!! I just love reading your blogs whenever you do write. Wish I can read all those books like you do. Have a great weekend !
